  2. Save or track the page

What does TrackLens do with my data?

Nothing leaves your computer. Snapshots, screenshots, notes and settings are stored in your browser's local extension storage, and TrackLens has no analytics or tracking. Read the full privacy policy.

Site access on request

TrackLens reads a page only when you save it, or when you turn on checks for it and allow that one site. Pro license keys are checked with Polar.sh, without any page data.

You stay in control

Delete any snapshot or everything at once, export a backup file, and uninstalling removes all stored data.

FAQ

TrackLens frequently asked questions

What is TrackLens?

TrackLens is a Chrome extension by ExtCafe that saves versions of any web page you choose and shows exactly what changed between them: the text, the HTML source, the SEO tags, the AEO/GEO signals and, with Pro, a visual screenshot comparison.

Where is my data stored?

Everything stays on your computer, in your browser's local extension storage. TrackLens does not send page content, screenshots, URLs or browsing activity to any server, and it has no analytics or tracking.

Can TrackLens check pages automatically?

Yes, with Pro. You can schedule a check every 15 minutes, hourly, every 6 hours, daily or weekly. TrackLens loads the page in a minimized background window, saves a new snapshot only when the content changed, and shows a badge and a desktop notification.

Can I track a competitor's page?

Yes. Add any public page by its address, such as a competitor's pricing or landing page, and TrackLens keeps a history of how it changes over time.

What is free and what is in Pro?

Free lets you track 3 pages with 20 snapshots each, with text diff, the AEO/GEO score and backup and restore. Pro is a one-time $19.99 purchase that adds unlimited pages and snapshots, SEO diff, visual diff, the AEO/GEO signal breakdown, automatic checks with alerts, ignore rules and HTML report exports.

Can I ignore ads, dates and cookie banners?

Yes, with Pro. Ignore rules let you skip parts of a page by CSS selector or with a point-and-click element picker, track only one part of a page, and ignore whitespace, numbers or dates so noise does not count as a change.

Which browsers does TrackLens support?

TrackLens is built for desktop Chrome version 116 or later and Chromium-based browsers such as Edge and Brave. It does not run on mobile browsers.

When can I install TrackLens?

TrackLens is in final testing and coming soon to the Chrome Web Store. Email aio@extcafe.com to hear when it launches.
